Easter Island Tahai ceremonial center platform with five moais
Easter Island Rano Raraku quarry in National Park with one moai with carving of ship on its chest is the volcano that was turned into the main quarry for the “moai.” The quarry, another of the sites we toured during our latest visit, has about 400 “moai” scattered around including the largest of the island.
